Who We Are &
What We Believe

We believe in sharing our passion for the outdoors with everyone, through unparalleled insight and expertise. We believe in shifting our behaviors to contribute to the cultural shift of reducing pollution and protecting this planet that we love. We believe the practice of Leave No Trace (LNT) expands beyond the use of land and occurs from the moment clients arrive for a trip to when they leave.

To support these beliefs, we have implemented the following actions and goals within RMHC:

+ We are working to reduce the amount of plastic-wrapped foods on trips (this means more bulk foods).

+ In an effort to reduce excessive water usage in CO and CA (drought states), we share information with clients on how to reduce water use post-trip.

+ We ask clients to please bring reusable water bottles on trips. We will provide reusable water bottles to clients when needed.

+ We have a goal of renting and utilizing electric vehicles for our trips within the next 3 to 5 years.

All of Rocky Mountain Hiking Company's guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid or higher and CPR, and we follow Leave No Trace Principles. Scholarships are available for trips.
